Let's break the cycle of harm by educating our Young People about sex and  relationships. It is the best prevention!

At Relavate, we strongly believe that early education and intervention around Healthy Relationships can change lives and break the cycle of abuse. Our workshops and assemblies are targeted to challenge values and beliefs and well as educate young people about how they can make better choices in their close relationships.

The New Authority

The New Authority is an approach that offers hope for teachers hoping to reclaim their authority, without
humiliating or damaging relationships with young people.

Our consultancy package supports schools to embed the New Authority approach – a relational, behavioural model rooted in Non-Violent Resistance (NVR).

This isn’t a quick fix or off-the-shelf behaviour policy. It’s a structured, whole-school shift that focuses on building strong adult presence, repairing relationships, and responding to behaviour without power struggles or punishment.

We work alongside school leadership to help you:

  • Build staff confidence in responding to behaviour relationally
  • Strengthen adult authority without damaging connection
  • Shift from control and compliance to influence and presence
  • Develop a clear, whole-school stance to reduce escalation
  • Replace reward/sanction systems with consistent, planned actions
  • Use reconciliation gestures to rebuild trust

Our package includes:

  • A full-day introductory training for SLT and key staff
  • Follow-up planning sessions to identify your school’s priorities
  • Ongoing consultation and implementation support
  • Resources and templates tailored to your setting
  • Support to review and adapt policy and practice over time

This approach is particularly effective in settings where traditional systems are no longer working – including with pupils who avoid school, show persistent challenging behaviour, or struggle with sanctions.

Together, we’ll build a culture of calm authority, care, and consistency..

The sessions carried out were thought provoking, informative and delivered really well by the team. The group of pupils we identified had shown some opinions and ideologies around misogyny that would cause concern. I myself went into the sessions and was shocked at the concerning attitudes some of our pupils have. Based on the success and impact of the sessions we have booked in two further workshops.
